I’ll be honest; I’ve made some terrible choices in my life. Decisions that I knew were wrong, but I made them anyway.
My most recent transgression, however, was by far my worst and also the reason I was burying my face in alcohol on a night when I should’ve been happily celebrating. What did I do, you might be wondering? I cheated on the love of my life. And now she’s gone.
No, this isn’t the story about how I joined some 12-step program and turned my life around. And it’s not the story about how I won the girl back. It is, however, the story of what happened next: when the clock tattoos on my forearms began to turn.
Since then, I’ve done the unbelievable:
I’ve shattered the barrier separating both time and space.
I’ve visited strange worlds and walked in alternate realities.
I’ve been to the Axis of Time, the place where time itself stands still.
I’ve discovered the Galaxies, the cosmic beings that make up the Multiverse.
And I’ve beheld the great vastness of the Multiverse, the proverbial roof under which countless worlds exist and endless possibilities are reality.
Unfortunately, it isn’t all sunshine and rainbows because that very Multiverse is now under immediate threat of annihilation and I’m caught in the eye of the storm. Having been thrust into time at the hands of a deranged madman, I will have to brave the harsh reality of a not so distant apocalyptic future if I’m ever to find my way home to my children and the woman I love and maybe, just maybe save the Multiverse along the way.
A cosmic struggle is about to begin. The fate of infinite worlds rests in my hands.
