Intentional adventures are bad enough. But if you’re experiencing involuntary exploits, well, that just doubles up on the suckage.
Dogget Mann is only a kid and he didn’t ask for any of this. Not the space-time relocation, not the floating, sentient sphere that looks after him, and especially not the hordes of transgenic reprobates out for his blood.
Still, it all made for an entertaining, tragi-comic story for most of your damn family; so he wrote it up and put it in a canister on the moon. He figured somebody had to stumble onto to it sooner or later. He was right about that.
