Jana Nordmeyer was born and raised in Flagstaff, Arizona, with an unblessed face. Childhood and adolescence taught her she needed somewhere to hide herself and a plane cockpit seemed as good as anywhere. A talent for small planes helped her through poverty-stricken years then, just as life at the yoke and in bed became promising, the roof fell in. As that door in the Grand Canyon State closed one opened in the south-west corner of France. Based in Bayonne Jana flew Cessnas and Pipers professionally over the Languedoc and learned what it was to become a contributing member of a French provincial family and to understand France from the sidelines. When love – or a form of it – arrived it did so as a mirror-image of Jana’s own experience, testing her severely. Would she come through the experience and finally find happiness? Free on Kindle.
